Public Act 2 Liquor Tax Application

Public Act 2 Liquor Tax Funding is available through NMRE.  The use of these funds directly support regional objectives for substance use disorder services including prevention, treatment and recovery support services. 
 

Any and all new applicants requesting use of Liquor Tax funds shall complete an application.Applications shall be presented to the Northern Michigan Regional Entity Substance Use Disorder Policy Oversight Board the the Northern Michigan Regional Entity Board.


Liquor Tax Funds shall be allocated and used for substance use disorder services only in the county from which the funds originated.Service Program requests must be for prevention, treatment and recovery support services.These services must be provided by programs appropriately licensed for the service by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.


Priority for allocation shall be given to prevention, treatment and recovery support providers currently on the NMRE Substance Use Disorder Provider Panel.Priority shall then be given to all licensed providers utilizing evidenced based practices.
